Just had my 5th chemo and my hair has now gone.  My scalp has little red sometimes itchy spots on it.  It's quite sensitive.

Any recommendations for keeping my scalp as healthy as possible for when my hair eventually grows back?

Cheers! xx

  • Hi I found "Cancer Hair Care" very helpful about keeping the scalp healthy.  I made an oil infusion using Rosemary extract.  Google their site and seek their advice.  I had used the cold cap and so kept much of my hair. Future Dreams also has ideas and offers support.

    All the best

  • I used tea tree shampoo from Holland and Barratt all the way through chemo and when my hair started to grow back. That seemed to keep my scalp healthy.

  • Hi, sorry to hear you’re going through this. After chemo the scalp can be very sensitive, so it’s best to keep it moisturized and use gentle products like mild shampoos and natural oils. Light scalp massage can also help with circulation while your hair grows back. I also found some helpful KilgourMD Coupons here if you’re looking for scalp care products: https://www.reecoupons.com/view/kilgourmd. Wishing you a smooth recovery and healthy regrowth. Herb
