Hello
Has anyone been told they have papillary serous cystadenocarcinoma of the thyroid?
I had the right side of my thyroid removed in January due to a large but benign-looking nodule that was causing me some swallowing/voice issues.
When I saw the surgeon for follow-up he said they found an incidental 8mm cancer but that it was nothing to worry about. No further action required. I just saw his notes pop up in my GP app and it says they found:
papillary serous cystadenocarcinoma
This isn't what he told me when I saw him. He said:
papillary thyroid microcarcinoma
Are these both the same thing? I Googled and papillary serous cystadenocarcinoma seems to be ovarian cancer. Maybe it's just a typo?
Thanks for any help or insight
