When you want to reply to someone just click 'reply' after their message and then start typing in the box that comes up.
If there's more than one person in the thread then it's a good idea to include their name at the start of your reply, just like you'd do in an email or letter, as your response automatically appears after the last post in the thread and not immediately underneath their post.
I'll 'tag' into my reply to you so that they see your message to them.
