Hi, I have just started on oxaliplatin. I have been advised amongst other things not to drink or eat anything cold or even tepid. This could bring on breathing issues. As the weather warms up any suggestions on how to quench thirst or freshen mouth / throat. Of course no ice cream or jelly or even water out of the tap.

Hi Chloe
Thanks for the info. Did you start drinking cold drinks again after that or you never stopped?

Hi, thank you for your reply. I am also warming tap water to room temperature. I use gloves to take items out of the fridge. I am particularly concerned about breathing problems that can occur when you drink cold water or other liquids. So far, no issues but I am only 2 days into my chemo.
