I have been using efudix twice a day and have had a lot of reaction which I know is normal. It went very angry and red but now has an almost black scab over it all. My dermatologist told me to use it for 4 weeks, but is the cream getting through the scab when I put it on now? If anything brushes against the scab (it’s on my leg) it is veey painful. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.
Hi Pontymel and a very warm welcome to the group which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I’m Anne and although I haven't used Efudix I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
If you don't get any replies here, it might be an idea to have a quick chat with the person who prescribed the cream to seek their advice.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
