Hi, I've had the ops. they removed 3 lymph nodes where cancer cells was present. The following scans showed no signs of any other cancers. Immunotherapy was discussed, I'm unsure about this treatment as there seems many possible serious side effects. Doctor gave me lots of statistics but didn't seem to give me any guidance as to whether this is the treatment I need.
has anyone had experience of this treatment and how did it go?
Hi mashup1 and a very warm welcome to the online community
It can be very difficult weighing up the pros and cons of having treatment so the online community is a great place to be able to share experiences.
Can I ask if the skin cancer you were diagnosed with is melanoma? If so can I invite you to join us over in the melanoma group where you'll find lots of conversations around immunotherapy.
It would be great if you could pop something about your journey into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
