Hi all, recently diagnosed with BCC on the side of my nose. It started as a small spot that bled and wouldn’t heal. After visiting plastics in the hospital was given 3 options of how to have the excision and skin graft. As it was a big iof a shock I know I didn’t take it all in and felt rushed to make a decision- I opted for skin graft from behind ear to cover the area. I can’t remember the other options! The consultant said it was sun damage and no one should be outside for longer than 30 mins even if just going for a walk (which I like to do) If anyone has had a similar excision- how long did it take to recover and how long is the dressing on for. As I work in a bakery I was thinking I might need to be off for a few weeks? Like many at this early stage I feel confused and unprepared
Hi Andrea1
I've not had a BCC removed from the side of my nose but I noticed that your post hasn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will bump it back to the top of the discussion list again.
I know there are lots of people in the group who have posted about having a BCC removed from their nose so hopefully they'll pop on soon to share their experiences with you.
Wishing you all the best
