I can't find my original post but I thought I'd give an update.
Last July I went to the teledermatology department for them to check a lesion on my back and the result came back to say BCC. I was then put on a waiting list to be seen by dermatology. Well 9 months later I had my appointment and it turns out it's Bowens disease (SCC in situ) so they did two rounds of cryotherapy and I'm to go back in three months to have it checked then should be discharged.
I wish the waiting time wasn't so long as waiting 9 months thinking it was BCC was awful. I'm just glad it wasn't as bad as they first said. I've always worn suncream factor 50 and been careful not to spend too much time in the sun as I have very pale freckled skin and will definitely be a lot more mindful in the future of any sun exposure . Hopefully I won't have anymore in the future but I suppose if the damage in childhood and my teenage years is already done then you never know.
Thankyou to everyone in this community who I've had advice from or who have commented on previous posts , I would of been a jibbering wreck without it especially as I kept the initial diagnosis to myself apart from 3 trusted people.
