Does anyone know if Aldara cream can cause areas of BCC to appear that were not previously visible (microscopic) ? I have a BCC that was treated for 5 weeks & now it seems like there is a new patch of it right next to the original now the reaction to the cream has faded . Someone mentioned on another group this could be why but my surgeon seemed baffled & has taken a biopsy of both areas before deciding what to do
Hi EmmaC22,
I was just prescribed Aldara cream for a spot on my philtrum under my nose. My dermatologist recommended it as I work with kids and it's supposed to be less invasive than mohs. I am replying as I am interested to learn as much as I can about the cream and peoples' experiences with it. My dermatologist didn't have much time to meet with me. I hope you have had your question answered or will soon. Best,
Maggie
