Hi everyone, I don’t know if I should be posting here but looking for some advice.
I have been struggling for so long to book a GP appointment. I’ve given up waiting so booked a private appointment and been given a referral under 2WW.
I’m seeing a dermatologist privately tomorrow.
My symptoms are a dark red mole that has grown in size & domed on my left forearm + another white waxy type has appeared on my right hand on the knuckle. I’m confused as reading online it’s unlikely to have two, or is it?
I’m sorry if this post comes over as a diagnosis requests (it’s not), I just want to know if anybody else has had similar? Very nervous and concerned.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and I was diagnosed with melanoma 8 years ago so I have a fair idea how worried you're probably feeling right now.
You are quite right that we cannot diagnose from symptoms here as none of us are medical professionals and can only reply from our own experiences. I also 'hang out' in the melanoma group and there have been people there who have had more than one dodgy mole at a time investigated.
Hopefully both of your lesions will turn out to be nothing to worry about but you've done the right thing in having them investigated.
