Hi all,
I was referred to dermatology pretty quick after I showed my GP a mole I was suspicious of. It was removed about a week later and yesterday I received a text to attend the hospital this Friday coming.
its been 6 weeks since my WLE. Has anyone been asked to go in for a face to face follow up appointment and it be nothing?
Hi Nikki85 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
Although at my appointment, which was 6 weeks after my biopsy, I was told that I had melanoma, the appointment was made for me at the same time as I had the lesion removed so I would have attended an appointment whether the news had been good or bad. I don't know if that helps or not?
As the online community is divided into different support forums I'm going to recommend that you join us over in the melanoma forum as you're more likely to connect with others who have had a suspicious mole removed there.
If you'd like join, just click on the link I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for a good results for you on Friday.
