Hi Roddersg and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that you've recently been diagnosed with melanoma and it's natural to be frightened and wonder how this will affect your life.
You should have been assigned a skin cancer nurse specialist (SCNS), sometimes referred to as a keyworker or a Macmillan nurse, and I'd encourage you to give her a call and tell her about your new lump along with the pain you're experiencing in your armpit and testicle.
Could I also suggest that you join us over in the melanoma group as you'll then connect directly with others who have this type of cancer. If this is something that you'd like to do, clicking on the link I've created will take you directly there.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Do come back and let us know how you get on talking to your nurse.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
