Should I be worried? Spot on child

Hi Everyone,

My 7 year old daughter has a history of on and off eczema so patches of dry itchy skin isn’t unusual for her  She came to me maybe 2 weeks ago and said her arm was itchy so I told her to put cream on it and didn’t think anything more about it.

Today I noticed a spot on her arm and she says that’s from where it was/ is itchy. It looks like a crusty blister to me. There are no other spots on her body. We are only home from Majorca about 3 weeks ago so now I am worried it could be something sinister. My gp surgery is short staffed and only running an emergency service, so not sure what to do or whether it’s nothing to worry about.

thanks in advance

  • Hi and a very warm welcome to the online community

It's always worrying when you spot something new but the only advice we can give you here is for you to make an appointment for your daughter to see her GP.

Hopefully it'll be nothing to worry about but it's always best to get these sort of things checked.

Do pop back and let us know how you get on
