Hello - been diagnosed with bcc on my cheek and had first treatment of photodynamic treatment last week - pretty painless and healing extremely fast . In fact unable to see much at this moment.
just wondering if anyone else was diagnosed first with lichen (as I was a few years ago) . Can lichen change to BCC or was it this all the time ?
thank you
Hi Flower16 and a very warm welcome to the online community
I'm afraid I don't know if lichen can change to BCC. I've had a look through the group to see if anyone here has mentioned about having lichen but drew a blank I'm afraid.
This would probably be a good question to post in the ask a nurse section of the online community and one of the specialist nurses will aim to reply within 3 working days.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Let us know what the nurse says as it would be interesting to know.
x
