Update on scalp BCC

Sorry - not sure why my post has smiley faces all over it!  

That's really good news phenom. It gives those of us who  have just started out on treatment or those that are waiting for treatment encouragement to hang on in there.

It's ok thanks. Clear margins but I was told I'm at risk of getting more basal cells.

There's a tiny area at the top of my nose which is going to be treated with cream which I'm not looking forward to.

Have you been told you're at risk of getting more?

That’s really good to hear and thanks for sharing, I’ve been waiting since beginning of May to see a plastic surgeon and only just seen one this week. I’m waiting for appt now to have my bcc removed from my scalp and skin graft, I just want it gone, but I am fearful of a bald patch, it’s about a 50 p peice with possibly another small area further along. Would just like it gone.

That's good to hear  I was also told there's an increased risk but that I could take vitamin B to reduce the risk.

Are you having Mohs or excision?  I don't notice or think about the bald patch and no one else does either.  I hope you get a surgery date soon.

I think so - he wrote it down for me.  Are you taking it?

I do take it. I read the report on it and thought it wouldn't do any harm.

I will say that the general appearance of my skin has improved whilst I've been taking it.
