Can't get meds till Tuesday

Pretty much as above. I got a prescription from the doc this morning for my hormone therapy, I went into 3 pharmacies and they all told me that they didn't have it & it would arrive Tuesday next week because of the bank holiday. Tried phoning the cancer team at Kings college. No answer. So it looks like I am to be without any meds till then. I'm a bit worried my testosterone will rise which is not what I want or need. I took my last Orgovyx pill this morning.

  • Hello Hutch68,

I'm sure others with far more knowledge will be along shortly, but to my non medically trained mind, the effects of your tablet don't end all of a sudden but rather taper off.

2 suggestions, why not give the Macmillan support line a call or on line message to get their thoughts & ideas (they are open 8am until 8pm 7 days a week, and on the boots.com page under the prescriptions tab, they have the facility to check medicine availability option whereby you can enter your postcode & check if any is in stock at stores near you.

  • Hello

I an with Brian ( here. A few days without your medication won't affect your journey as the effects of HT build up on a cumulative basis.

Perhaps a little more forward planning with your prescription. I get mine a couple of weeks before the next lot is due.

    Best wishes - Brian.
