Hi all I had a prostectomy in 2019 , radiotherapy and hormone treatment in 2020 (2yrs) and PSA was undetectable until November last year when there was upward movement and I was given a pet scan which was then followed by a return to hormone treatment and a short time afterwards put on darolutamide. I attempted to renew my tavel insurance a few days ago and was denied although I had been covered by the insurer for many years. I was told that their system took in the answer to the questions asked and then spat out a yes or no but the person I spoke to could not tell me why and I can only assume that the latest treatment swung the balance. I have tried Stay Sure and they also denied my multi trip policy and it soon became obvious that they were using the same computer programme as my original insurer. Can anyone suggest other insurers that may have a different risk attitude as I would prefer not to insure myself?
Hello Mallorca
I have a joint world wide policy with my wife and it's through "Albert & Eddie" (0333 005 1105). We both have medical issues and I have found their service and premium very good - the reviews I have read about people making claims are also good.
