I've been invited over to join you all
My husband was diagnosed earlier this year. His prognosis is good and we've been told he will be cured
He has no symptoms and his raised PSA was found in a general blood draw. He feels and looks fine
He starts radiotherapy on August 12th
I have been stoic and prepared for it all to get underway
But now is so close I have lost my nerve
My anxiety is through the roof and I really wish this wasn't happening at all.
Has anyone got any words of wisdom, because I feel so alone

Welcome to our band of brothers and sisters although I am so sorry to find you joining us.
You haven't given us any facts - PSA figures, biopsy results, TNM score etc but with you saying he starts Radiotherapy on 12 August is he on Radiotherapy only or with Hormone Therapy as well?
So feel free to ask any questions - nothing is too trivial and as you go along if you click on some members names or avatars you will be able to read our personal journey - we are all different.

FIRSTLY..... I'm an EVERTONIAN-the proper Bluenoses 
Husband had an initial PSA of 8.6 and was fast tracked through a myriad of tests Bone scan was clear and biopsy result was +ve for prodtate cancer.
Cancer is Stage 3 and contained in the prostate He's been on testosterone antigen injection for 11 weeks. 13 weeks is when radiotherapy starts
Funnily enough...when I write it down like this I feel a lot calmer

Sounds a good proposition for cure. Don’t worry about the radiotherapy. The biggest problem is usually parking - although many hospitals (including mine) provide it for free. Once you both get 
to the swing of things, you’ll be fine. Mark up a calendar so you can tick of the days. Make sure you have a champagne emoji on the last day. AW
