Hi Michael,
you have joined a very knowledgeable group of people who are in the same situation as yourself. Please ask any question even if you think it’s trivial . It’s not it’s important to you. We are not medically trained but can offer advice , listen and support as needed . Waiting in tests, results affects people differently . My husband is also having a biopsy today although we don’t yet know what the MRI results were - just that it has been reviewed and they suggested the biopsy- complicated by having to stop blood thinners for 10 days so it’s been a 13 day wait since the phone call. Hope it all goes well and you get results quickly- praying we do too as the stress of waiting has been awful- his PSA was 7 and he’s 68 - how about you? xx
Thank you Tracey.
I had a minute piece of the prostate that was flagged.
It stung about 10 times.
My bum is sore but glad it's over.
They are calling me next Monday.
I'm 70, 71 next month.
I hope all goes well with your hubby.
God Bless.
Michael.
Hi Michael, well at least that bit is done for you both now - he had 27 samples from 3 areas as we were told his MRI was a PIRAD 5 score and there’s a 20mm lesion showing on MRI and prostate is 90gram - was only 50 in 2023 when he had a scan for blood in urine (although that was all clear). His PSA was 7 a month ago.
results 2-3 weeks but I’m expecting it to be positive and now reading up on treatment options- might be limited as he has stable Atrial Fibrillation and had a couple of stents 5 years ago due to a blocked artery so don’t know if that limits options.
best of luck and hope you get results soon xx
