Hello, my prostate cancer was treated with radio therapy, i was having prostrap inj for 3 years,i was having 6 monthly PSA tests ongoing with reminders and results by phone, all was under control, then the reminders stopped.
I couldn't find out the result of my last test. Due to a busy life I forgot about having my next until a few months ago and I had a PSA result of 55., cancer has returned, I then discovered my previous test had been 6 .cancer has spread to my bones and is now in my left hip .
Good Morning Plinky
A warm welcome to the group although I am so sorry t read your post. Did your team remind you of the 6 monthly tests or say you were only on them for say 3 years or did they just forget you? and what prompted you to have a new test showing a PSA of 55?
In view of the above, I assume you are back on treatment now - do you have these details?
It may be a good idea to add your journey to your profile (you can read mine by clicking on my name or avatar). To do this on your home page click on the chair - top right, then "profile" and then "edit". Once you have written something, click on save. Knowing your full story will help us help you and save you repeating things.
Best wishes - Brian.
