About me,

Well got dianose had prostate cancer last Chrisrmas, in late Jan. was told Gleason 4+3=7, and grouped as a high risk.

So the ball started moving, decided to have the PACE-NODES Radiotherpy trial which was 5 treatments instead of 20, follwed by Hormonal Therapy, 3 injections ( one every 6 months).

Sir Chris Hoy was reason had PSA blood test, result 21.5. After radiotherapy and 5 months oh hormanl therapy it

was 1.7. So have had second 6monthly injection.

Finding the hormonal therapy worse than the the radiotherapy.

So hi everyone.

  • Hello

A warm welcome to the club - reading your post you look to have everything under control apart from the HT side effects. Are you having bother with any particular one (or two)?

Your lowest or nadir PSA reading should be 18 months after Radiotherapy as it keeps working for quite a time after the RT has been completed.

Feel free to ask any questions however trivial or join in any threads - it's OUR Community.

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Welcome to the forum where you are able to speak your mind and gather answers and good advice to worries you might have. We all need help from time to time and this safe place is your new home with the members your new friends. We all share the same issues and complications and that’s why you will get the best advice.

Your history is being kind to you with a low PSA but the HT is a drag. There’s loads of measures you can take for all sorts of reactions, so ask in detail sometime, what’s troubling you and you will get the answer you want quicker and more individually tailored to you than a Dr Google or Dr Chatbot. We are all different and that makes us a challenge to really understand.

    Take care.
