A recent blood test showed a PSA of 133, my GP referred me to the Hospital where two days ago the Urologist said there was a high chance of advanced PC. I have been prescribed Bicalutamide and Zoladex. He is trying to arrange a bioppsy in two weeks. For the past two days I have been researching PC, it's very scary, I don't know what to expect or do now, I am 64 and have not told anyone yet
Hi Srepus,
I would be very surprised if your ''missus'' hasn't already noticed the fact that you are worrying about something as women seem to have a sixth sense about things like that (hope that doesn't sound sexist as I think it's a positive attribute) & is waiting for you to be ready to unburden yourself.
It's entirely natural to try & protect the ones we love from any possible bad news, however there is also a lot of truth in the old saying a problem shared is a problem halved. Whilst talking won't make the problem go away, it will (in my opinion) make it much easier to cope with.
I'm sure you will find the right moment to talk to her & that she will then be there in your corner supporting you every step of the way.
Best Wishes
Brian
