Hi I'm Joe thanks for letting me join this group
I have prostate cancer gleason7 (3+4) psa 18.1 T2 cpg3 pirad 5 left apex transitional zone pirad 4 right apex transitional zone my treatment plan was 20 sessions of radiotherapy plus 6 months ADT but after reading some horror stories I decided against ADT my radiotherapy starts in 11 days time but now I'm worried I should have taken the ADT
I know everyone is different but has anybody else not taken ADT with the same scores I have above and how did it work out for them
Hi JS
Ok, I was slightly less at Gleeson 6, PSA 13, 2 tumours, largest 13mm near the gland edge.
I only had the RT and everything been ok since
You don't give a tumour size but T2 only so obviously contained.
Am sure will be ok, don't forget just my opinion though, not an expert.
Best wishes
Steve
Thanks for the reply Steve I'm so glad to hear everything has been ok with you only having radiation I was never told the size of my tumours just where they were situated I'm just having second thoughts now as I'm going against medical advice
Yes I get your concern.
I must say that I have never understood the HT offering with RT if stats reasonable, y not leave HT for later if ever needed but of course I am not a consultant.
We don't know anything about your tumour (s)size ,could be worth just checking that point
Steve
I will see if I can find that out Steve I'm probably to late now anyway I should have started it last month I took the bicalutamide for 3 days then was supposed to get a 3 month injection of prostrap but decided not to go through with it
Cheers Joe
I probably should have said I'm 66 years old but quite fit and healthy
Am sure things will be ok but could still be worth finding out about tumour size cos the smaller the better obviously without the HT.
A MRI report should tell u
Steve
Cheers Steve I did have an mri report but i can't seem to find it something rings a bell about two lesions I think they were 5 and 6 cm but will see if I can get that confirmed
Cheers Joe
Ok, suppose depends when MRI was but wouldn't think cm more like mm...... hopefully
Steve
Was a few months ago will have another look see if I can find it if not will phone the hospital
Cheers Joe
Pretty sure these will have been 5mm and 6mm, so I agree with Grundo. AW
