Hi there,
I got diagnosed with metastatic disease after an operation to correct a spinal compression. This was in June,
Still not really processing the diagnosis or prognosis- but I'm now on Hormone Therapy and had one session of radiotherapy the oncologist wants me to start Chemo in September which I'm slightly anxious about.
Looking forward to reading other people's journeys and experiences with this.
Early days but you have a plan.
Your tests and biopsies have presumably given you an idea of what stage you are at but no matter what, you’re asking the right people for support and maybe their own experience.
We are listening and hear your anxiety but we will be able to calm you as you get accustomed to the new you. You’re no alone and this couples disease is sometimes hard on both yourself and your OH so keep asking questions and reading up about potted histories of forum members.
Good luck
ps
Don't google too much, stick with the advice here if you can.
Good morning, my husband had chemo last year and he did really well on it not many side effects but everyone is different, he continued doing work in the house and garden which helped the tiredness. He found keeping busy is the key. Good luck with what ever you decide.
Sheena
Hi Sheena,
Thanks very much for the reply. I've a call with Oncology this afternoon - so I'll see what happens then.
Bests,
C.
