Hi everyone. I’m 4 months into hormone treatment and finding the itching skin irritation hard to handle does anyone else suffer this problem and how do you handle it. Cjc84

  • Good morning

I had this issue with HT (click on my avatar or name to read my journey). I tried all sorts of creams as it was 24/7 and becoming a serious issue.

I settled on 2 - Childs Farm Bay Moisturiser and the best one for me by far "Aproderm". I had this on prescription but it can be found on Amazon for £9.99. I still use it to this day as I find it so soothing!!

I do hope you can sort something out- I know just what it's like!!

    Best wishes - Brian.

  • Hi  , I see a dermatologist each year and her advice is to shower/wash with QV Body Wash, then for dry skin/eczema apply CeraVe body lotion. After 8 years on HT my skin is dry and thin and showing signs of eczema, so whenever it itches, I apply the body lotion. For me, the eczema goes after one or two applications and I am ok for a week or two.  I think the main advice is don’t leave it (otherwise you will scratch and cause damage) and try and find something that works for you.  David

    Best wishes, David

  • Hi  - yep - it occasionally affects the top of my feet and sometimes scrotum.  Usually only when I’m tired just before bed. I apply eurax 10 hour itch relief cream (about £6 for a large tube on Amazon; other stockists are available).  Also, I use 100% aloe Vera gel if it’s really bad (about the same price on Amazon).  Both are effective.   AW
