A Huge thank  you to all those that took the time to respond. It’s day 5 today and I’m in a better place than yesterday and I will put that down to those who care enough to share their experiences. I know it is probably going to be a roller coaster of emotions for the next couple of weeks and that there will still be days when I cry at the drop of a hat. But then there will be days like today when I can enjoy the simple things in life like sitting in my conservatory watching the gold finches on my bird fever. These days will get more frequent  is the overwhelming message I am receiving from the people on this site and for that I am and will be eternally grateful . Al 985

  • Hi,

Always delighted to hear that spirits have lifted as the days go on. I have also experienced support from many of the kind people on here.

My operation is a few weeks away but I am grateful there is a plan!

I live in the country and like you, I enjoy seeing the birds around me. In a few weeks, the swallows will return to build their nests.  Spring is near and that gladdens my heart.

Wishing you a continued recovery and sending love and support. x

  • Good Afternoon

Great news - as you say you are in a better place and things will continue to improve - yes there will be set backs but the major surgery has been done and you are working towards a full recovery.

Lots of small things can improve your days too as you say - the birds in the garden. Here in darkest Lancashire we even have some sunshine today.

Thanks for coming back on and keeping us up to speed - we love good news on this group.

    Best wishes - Brian.
