Hello there
Recently confirmed following MRI and Biopsy with Gleeson 4+5 T2N0 CPG5 Quite a whirlwind with things happening in quick succession (which is good!).
Last week I had Bone and CT scans to chekc if any spread, and I have also been started on 4 weeks Bicalutimide and after a week with Prostap hormone injection.
I'm 76 but feeling well at present, and optimistic for the future.
I visited the local hospital McMillan Wellbeing Centre while I was waiting for the injected tracer to take effect (3 hours) for my Bone scan, and found it to be a great place to chill out and talk to staff.
This Forum look like a great place, and I am sure will prove to be very useful, especially as I live on my own (my Wife passed away with dementia 2 years ago) , although I have supportive family elsewhere in the UK
Hello Rman - A warm welcome to the online Community - I am so sorry to read of your circumstances. The Gleason 9 Club isn't the best club to be in however you have started treatment so with the start of HT things are moving in the right direction.
Personal advice - try and keep as fit as possible - as fatigue will catch up with you, other than that please feel free to ask any questions - however trivial and join in any conversations.
Best wishes - Brian.
