I thought I would drop you a line with regards to my friend and how can I continue to support him.
I put my life on hold and temporarily relocated from London to Wales to look after/support my friend who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Unfortunately, his treatment has been postponed because he has a heart condition, but at the time of the cancer news, his doctor had taken him off of his medication, and so he was really having withdrawal symptoms and the heart condition kicked off too.
This reads like a soap opera, I knew he hadn't been paid for two months, hence my move, but after another two months, he's not been paid, I guess been made redundant??, but he's received no paperwork, but he's gone off and found a warehouse job, which the manual work and the shifts are killing him. In the meantime, I've paid his rent and food whilst we wait on news regarding his back pay due and for the results of a recent ECG, which hopefully will allow him to finally get treatment.
I now have to go back to London. My savings wiped out, but I'll catch up.
How can I support my friend when he finally does go through treatment?
Cheers
Feisty xx
