Hi I would just like say hi. I’m living with my OH who was diagnosed with PC in 2018 he had 38 sections of RT. 2 years hormone therapy he had PSA done every 6months then it started to double so when it got to 1.75 consultant wanted to do  bone scan and CTC scan they came back it hadn’t spread but he had a PSA done last week and it’s now 4.5. We can’t understand why it’s still rising. Not getting reviewed until March it’s been a rollercoaster ride. Any one give me any advice I would be really grateful.

  • Hello   A warm welcome to the online Prostate Cancer Community

Well to be honest, he's come off the Hormone Therapy, he's had Radiotherapy and it's not killed the little buggers off so I am guessing with the rise in his PSA that's the score (don't forget it's my opinion and I am not medically trained), I think it's come back to the Prostate but as your consultant has said - no spread.

Below is a link to a cracking publication from Prostate Cancer UK - the publication is "What if your Prostate Cancer comes back".

I hope this helps - please come back to us with any further questions.

    Best wishes - Brian.
