Hi, not sure how to do this, so here goes, my name is Nigel, and after two biopsies this year, in November i was told I have prostate cancer, thankfully early stages, and we’re going for active surveillance at the moment, my next visit will be booked nearer the end of January.
cheers
Hello Scaleyback3512 Well Nigel - a warm welcome to the online Prostate Cancer Community. Active Surveillance is great - just make sure you keep to your appointments and question anything you think you don't understand. The main one is to keep an eye on your PSA levels.
It's a good idea - it's to help us help you - if you could update your profile with your diagnosis and PSA readings. To do this go to your home page and click on the icon of the chair in the top right - then "profile" and then "edit". You can read mine by clicking on the icon of the beach (but you don't have to write a book!!).
It's OUR Community and YOU are a welcome member. Feel free to ask any questions you want -however trivial - and also feel free to join in any conversations.
Best wishes - Brian
