PS - I have my planning scan appointment on 2 Jan, ready for 23 factions commencing 15 January (the third element of brachytherapy boost - I’m already on HT, and I’ve had my brachytherapy operation). 

We'll done hard bit over look forward to positive results

Hi Millibob - yes!  Although the tattoos will help with lining up the beams, they can’t miss my prostate, it’s so full of titanium shelled brachytherapy seeds, it will look like a strawberry on the daily CT scan. I was surprised and impressed to hear that the Peterborough hospital LINAC  machine is one of the latest models, which does a CT scan every faction, so they can reduce spillover of radiation.

Yes, ours was one of the ones they do the "positioning scan" first. After fraction 16 I asked what my Prostate looked like - and the answer was - "well we can see a mush" so it's working.

Modern Technology eh!!  (Oh I understand Blackpool are looking for some new illuminations next year - will you still be "all aglow" next September" ? ).
