I was diagnosed with prostate cancer (I had no symptoms, it was picked up by my GP who was investigating iron deficiency) in December 2022, grade 5 Gleason score 9, been on HT for six months (out of a possible 3years) still waiting for my 20 days (4 Weeks) of radiotherapy to start, estimated start date 24th July. Hope all are well at the moment.
Hi, welcome to the club, I too was Gleason 9. I had 20 sessions of radiotherapy in February/March and am on hormone therapy for another 18 months.

Good luck on your journey

Hi Bob
Interesting that - I am pleased you have been sorted and making progress.
My TURP was at North Manchester General - in Friday 7.00am out Saturday lunch 1.30pm just the one overnight. I was told they do have a cross match for blood as you can lose quite a bit, I do remember the cleaning out after the operation involving a silver bucket - but all is well!
Again they thought the PC could be in my lymph nodes, and decided to "zap" them too but I only got 20 days on the sunbed!!
Hope the RT goes well. any questions feel free to ask.
Kind Regards
Brian.

Hi millibob yes they had a few problems with my blood pressure plummeting which they say is quite common post op .As to why I'm doing 30days is another question. It seems a bit like overkill.Nevermind as long as I see the light at the end of the tunnel cheers
