ok i have PC well my legs are shot but i know reasons ,However if i exert myself too much then i get terrific back ache is this a symptom of PC or yet another problem of age (74 soon)
Hi Mike - As far as I am aware and I am no medical professional as I understand it back pain COULD be a sign that the Prostate Cancer may have spread, however this is usually in Stage 4 cases when it gets into the spine.
I would hope it's a sign of old age BUT I would check it out with your GP / Urology / Oncology department to be sure.
I hope this helps - let us know how you get on.
Kind Regards
Brian.

Hi Mike
As Millibob has said, I would definitely inform at least gp. It is probably nothing but there is something called spinal compression which can be as a result of advanced pc. My husband, having had backache for a few days, was called in the very next day to Oncology and they gave him and MRI and CT scan which luckily ruled this out. I think compression would most likely present all the time and not just after exertion but it is best to be safe than sorry.
Regards
Gina
