I am recently diagnosed stage 4. The first thing I did was to start reading, and Jane Plants book Prostate Cancer seems to me to make a lot of sense. She recommends going to what is in effect a hunter-gatherer diet and avoiding all of the chemicals that the food industry is using. Has anyone tried doing this?
Hi Ido4, Jane Plant swears by green tea, and also recommends cutting out all forms of Dairy, milk cheese yoghurt etc from all sources, cows, sheep, goats. Her book airs the arguments against dairy in some depth. Did you see the Panaorama program on Ultra processed foods? It made the same case, it's worth a look on iplayer if you missed it.
Hi Petruchio,
I did see the Panorama program, scary stuff. I meant to mention I use non dairy milks too but still eat hard cheeses. I read an anti cancer diet book a few years ago, that’s where I learned about green tea, pomegranate and lycopene from cooked tomatoes, all highly beneficial.
