Hi all I'm a bit confused about PSA results and Gleason scores. I'm on active surveillance ATM with a Gleason score of 3/4 PSA of 5.14. my question is does the PSA rise more with say a Gleason score of 4/4 or would it be the same
I too went on active surveillance with a Gleason score of 3+4 and a PSA of 4.7 and was on AS for 2 years before starting Hormone therapy.
After having a biopsy in August last year my Gleason score had risen to 4+5 and PSA was up to 14 so it was decided to start HT in October and started RT in February.

Hope this helps

It would also be interesting to know what staging score you are at.
Over 2 years mine went from T0/1 N0 M0 to T2 N0 M0
