Hi,
I’m new to MacMillan but I have had prostate cancer for several years. They are currently monitoring only. I’ve had several biopsy’s, the first one being very traumatic and caused several health issues. The first biopsy was taken through the anus and caused a route for infection into the prostate and caused several illnesses including Orchitis and septicaemia. Other biopsies have been through the perineum.
I came on macmillans because I recently lost my kid brother to bowel cancer (well bowel cancer was the main cause but his death cert includes pulmonary embolism, pneumonia and COVID.
He had regular visits from a Macmillan’s nurse
