Hello.
Hmmmm, prob unusual to have undetectable PSA before treatment but hey , that's good
hello my name is paul i have prostate cancer its been a year since i finished radiotherapy i am still getting injections every 12 weeks into my abdomine my psa is 0.5 locally advanced prostate cancer gleason 7 im trying to find out if my current psa is at a good number or should it be lower im on 6 monthly checks and have know contact for the last 5 months i asked if the treatment was working was told couldnt access computer
Hi Paul
Everything sounds ok, u need to wait until HT finishes before u can find out if the RT was a success.
.5 PSA is fine for now, when does HT finish
Steve
the cancer had just broken into seminal valves was trying to find out from hospital if the radiotherpy had removed the cancer from the valves
Ok , not a lot of knowledge on HT but there are some on here who have been through it.
As long as the PSA stays stable and doesn't start an upward trend u can relax.
Steve
Don't think the RT will show that Paul but hopefully it has worked, no reason why not.
At this point they don't normally do any further scans.
Probably only if the PSA started rising again , say after 2 or 3;more PSA tests.
Come back when you know more, I know difficult but u need to try and forget about it for now, what PSA figures did u have before treatment, I assume higher than ..5
Steve
