I have just joined and want to say hi. Hope your all ok.

My partner has been diagnosed and it's a tough time . Will be good to listen to what you say and support eachother.

  • Hi Dancing50 and welcome to the club. We know you don't want to be here but you might as well make use of your membership.

It is a tough time and to enable us to help and give as much support as we can, can you stick up some numbers - Gleason Score etc from the diagnosis - we can then point you in the right direction. There are plenty of good people here who have "been there done that" and you are by no means alone on this journey.

By all means click on a member's icon (mine's the beach) and you will get our own personal journey so far -we are all in the same boat but circumstances differ - but we all want to help.

As a man - I have found the support from my partner invaluable and you are both in the right place.

Kind Regards -and best wishes - Brian.

  • Hello Dancing50 and nice to ‘meet you’. This sure is a tough journey we are all on! My husband was diagnosed last September and I’m now all shrivelled up and dehydrated because of all the tears I have shed since then!  I have to hand it to those who post here - their support has kept me going!

I wish you and your husband the best of luck as you progress through the journey and it will be really good to hear how it’s going for you both! X

  • Hi Dancing50 - good name :-).  Sorry you guys are having to join this club but you will find it full of nice people. As Brian says, lots of people here who can share their experiences. Well done for coming on here though - the first step isnt always easy.  I have always said this particular journey isnt just 'me' its 'we' - impacts my wife and family just as much.  I'm 8/9 months into this myself and due to start RT beginning of April.  Make use of this resource if you feel you wish to.  Take care . Andy

  • Hi thanks for chat.....I'm in work but having a bad day Pensive.... very tearful today xx

  • We are all here for you - we have all been there done that - and apart from the wives, partners, family and friends this is the place to let off steam - ask questions - rant and rave - you could say we are the fifth emergency service - ready to help when you need us.

WorriedWife and I are both a tearful pair and this journey is very emotional - I have cried when I have had issues, I have cried with good news (ringing the bell after Radiotherapy made me a blithering wreck) - but you will get there.

It's a very tough time and any time you want to chat just bob on here - serious chat or - trivia (Don't mention WW's donuts!!) - you can find a few of us on "No specific topic".

    Kind Regards - Brian.

  • oh dear! Sorry to hear it’s a bad day! I sobbed my socks off all last week! Hope the tears bring some relief . They’re a darned nuisance at work, though!

  • Ah. Sod this Cancer lark eh!  Yep I'm afraid it will bring tears.  Rather oddly though there will also be funny and uplifting times.  Hang in there and absolutely no shame in shedding a tear or two.  A
