Not quite sure why I’m here- oh dear, deeply philosophical too quickly
As you can see from profile 6 months into my journey, doing great.
Laugh a minute - great opportunity for poor jokes and brilliant comments like Spike Milligan’s classic “See I told you I was ill
Have a lot of supportive friends on Facebook etc but feel I don’t want to burden them with every step up or down and also need to ask others in similar position to me questions and act as sounding board.
I reckon that I’m not going to find answers to a lot of questions we will all have about how long, what next, what about etc - but I’m hopeful I can get an ounce full of sense and the odd laugh as we fight against what I call my “nasty little bastard”.
Not interested in the stats and % rates of this that and the other- my philosophy is the same as wit the Lottery it’s 50:50 chance, you win or lose. It happens or it doesn’t- simples.
Anyway enough for now - any hints on groups or fora worth joining I’m all ears - at least for now as the cancer hasn’t started eating them
Good Evening Waxeater - Welcome to the club you didn't want to join!! Sorry I am the first responder, but hell you have the right attitude.
I think you've said it all - but your attitude to the PC will help you along the journey. you don't need to burden us with your issues but there are lots of good people on here who have "been there done that" and if you want to know something ask!!
As the man said with my biopsy "this will hurt" so and don't quote me on this one but there's no holes bared here so ask away. Someone will have the answers and let me put it this way - the people on here are much better than Facecloth!!
Cheers - Brian

Thanks
Never been PC in my life - hahaha. Funny how it goes. Have a good friend who is now 12 years down this path and is still laughing.
I reckon dignity is one of the first things to go but then again everything in life is perspective.
Only talk to friends on Facebook- I keep well away from the rest of the weirdos but there’ll be conversations and questions I don’t think folks that haven’t been here will understand.
Good luck to you and Mrs Millibob
Waxeater, you seem like a great character. Have a look at the "No Specific Topic" thread.
We found out that if you don't stick to the topics you fall foul, so I started the "No Specific Topic" thread. It's quite popular.
You need to try and keep a sense of humour, even though it can be very hard.
