Hello everyone.
i have joined this group as my partner has been diagnosed with PC and now has the dilemma of which of the 3 treatments to have….
looking forward to chatting with you….
Hi Steve,
thanks.
8.6 PSA
will get his gleeson
mri - contained in the prostate opposite side to main nerves.
he is so torn as to what we to have robotic surgery, RT or the metal RT rods…
naturally he wants the one with least side effects continence problems and ED and the highest success rate of no more cancer….
M
Not sure when u say RT rods
Anyway surgery can give ED and urinary issues but obviously not always.
The latest external beam RT is very targeted with hopefully no long lasting side effects.
Having surgery and the cancer returns, u can still have RT but very difficult the other way round IE surgery after RT.
Read up as much as u can and see what others say
Best wishes
Steve
