Hi all, my dad has hormone resistant metastatic prostate cancer. I hope to find tips to help him with food and liquid intake while he says everything tastes muddy, and psychologically supporting him in the next step decisions (currently on hormone therapy, next step either chemotherapy or ramped up hormone therapy). I also hope to find general tips on supporting him and my mum through this and keeping their morale up. Thank you. Warmest regards.
Hi
Sorry about how things are, but this is a good place for information. You asked about food and drink, the best drink is pomegranate juice, green tea, I take tomato and low sugar orange juice not cordials. Plus water of course. Food wise fish the oily kind eg sardines, haddock, prawns. Then chicken or turkey, most white meats, green vegetables wholemeal bread. Packet soups are good as they have little sugar, fruit red grapes and walnuts, biscuits rich tea, there are sheets out there telling you what is good and bad, hope this helps, a little excersize is good just to keep the body moving.
Stay safe
joe
