Hi everyone,
I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in November 2019 and had it removed in March 2020. 30 months on and I’m very well in my self however despite following a strict regime on pelvic floor exercises I am still left with continence issues. I am due to have surgery next month to have an artificial sphincter fitted. At this stage I am not sure if I want to go ahead with the procedure. Would anyone like to share their experiences living with an artificial sphincter
very best regards to one and all.
Happy Dancer.
Hi Happy dancer and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet, so I've searched the group to see if there are any previous posts which mention 'artificial sphincter' and found these for you to have a look through. Some of them are quite old but they still might provide you with the information you're looking for.
Wishing you all the best with whatever you decide to do.
