Well this is now my second cancer forum that I've joined. The first is the bereaved spouses forum that I joined last year.
At the beginning of this year I tested positive for PC and underwent lots of tests and scans. Eventually I was told I had Gleeson 3+4 and that it was beginning to push out of the capsule. I had a prostatectomy 5 weeks ago and I'm now awaiting the pathology report and result of a PSA test. I'm just hoping it was contained.
Bosuer,
Welcome to the Prostate forum. I know you probably didn't want to have to join another forum, but you are more than welcome.
Plenty of good people here, lots in the same stage as yourself.
I was diagnosed last year, Gleason 3+4, unsuitable for surgery because of all my other medical conditions, so I opted for the Hormones and Radiotherapy. Luckily this seems to have worked as I am now in Remission.
Hopefully you will get in touch with loads of others who can share their knowledge and experiences with you.
Best of luck with your recovery.

Welcome to the forum Bosuer. You made a good decision to get treatment. I had a PSA of 6.05 and biopsy of 3+3=6 with 8 of 12 cores positive. I also had an MRI showing two PIRADS 5 lesions with capsular bulge plus SVI. My post surgery pathology was upgraded to 3+4=7, but the cancer was contained in the prostate with the seminal vesicles also clear. I hope your pathology is favorable as well.
