Hi was wanting to ask does  anyone know of any  insurance company that cover Advanced Prostate Cancer patients please.

  • Hi Fernie 09

I have had advanced prostate cancer for 5 years and thought obtaining travel insurance would be impossible to secure.

However, I discovered "Insurancewith" who are just so helpful. I arranged an Annual Policy giving European cover which cost about £250

and this included cover for my wife

You do need to ring them for a quote. 0333 005 1066

Avoid Travel Insurance Companies that require you to complete an online form as you will simply hit a brick wall!

    Best of luck,

    Andy

  • Hi Andy100, Thank you so much for your advice on Travel insurance for my Husband, I will certainly give them a try, like yourself it is a brick wall, quite upsetting when you get so many questions you answer them all  then they turn round say they can’t offer you anything, our Consultant said he is quite happy to give us written confirmation that my Husband is fit to travel at this time ( which is why we are wanting to do now while his health can deal with it!!) again Andy100 Thank you.

  • Hi Fernie09

Having a holiday or break to look forward to has really kept me going in recent years. I'm sure that you and your husband feel pretty much the same. A change of scenery really makes me feel reinvigorated!

I hope it goes well for you...

    Andy.

  • Hi we already had a trip to USA booked to celebrate dh 60th before the diagnosis. Our Insurance company have now excluded anything to do with medical treatment for prostrate cancer related illness- tried to get another policy just for him and have been advised for US it’s likely to be around £2000 !!!!! When I have the energy I will shop around a bit but woweee.
