Hi everyone, I have just been diagnosed with prostate cancer, and I believe I am very lucky that my operation is booked for the 5th August.
I am in full time employment, and my company are very supportive, I haven't been told by various people that I might be entitled to help for myself and my wife during this period, just don't know who what when and how to start this process?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi,
I would agree with joeven on who best to contact. I got support from both organisations. I will add that all the support I got was over the phone and didn't need to go to an office. I am off sick long term thus SSP came to and end however I was supported to apply for benefits which has made a positive difference from relying on an employer. Currently receive PIP and ESA.
Cheers
