  • Hi Shaun

Hopefully you will get the support you need - don't feel uncomfortable asking say question you don't feel you can ask your relative. It would help if you can share his stats.

  • Hello Shauny

Sorry you have to be here, but you will find it one of the best places to chat, or for information and help, is there anything you want to let us know about yourself, or is this just a visit.

    Stay safe

  • Hi it’s all new to me I have only read up a bit but when he went to get his pas levels they were above 96 he has been told it’s terminal and that it has spread to his pelvis and spine chemo and radiotherapy not recommended however he is having injections that’s all I know I have no idea at this stage where is is in the terminal spectrum as he has deteriorated had 3 tias which has effected his eyesight dramatically but other than that he has aged and is quieter but overall u wouldn’t guess if u did not know

min my head going round and round are

    • hpw long should I exspect until he passes
    • how do I fit in all the memories I’m gonna miss without highlighting his I’ll every 2 mins
    • deteriTion process to prepare my self to be strong when he can’t
    • and loads more but that’s a start please help I have a little family I need to be strong for x
  • Hi

May I ask why they said chemotherapy was not given, was he to poorly? There are others medications that can be given I mean I’m terminal, have been for nearly six years.

Theres no time limit on his life expectancy, positivity, strength, eating drinking right all helps.

Memories are a personal thing, there’s always a few that are really special though.

His urology team will be able to tell you more about that.

Strong for the family is depending on their age, if their old enough once told they should know what your going through.

Nothing is easy, my wife worries about me 24/7 has had many sleepless nights, having no family when I’m gone she is very much alone, so I do my best to fight every day for her. If there’s a Maggies centre near you or a McMillan nurse you can ring, their really excellent at dealing with these situations, please give them a call or visit.

    Stay safe
