You should go to the Prostate Cancer UK website (link here) and download the first document in the left hand column ("How prostate cancer is diagnosed"). It is a good starting point to understand the disease.

so sorry to hear about your prostrate problem and your wife, what a shock for you. my husband diagnosed with prostrate cancer in February, On curative treatment plan now
At the first few appointments horrendous, even after those,poor husband worried to death.
I will say to you what I say to him
just today
manage this moment
do not think too far into the future
Other people have been / are going through what you be are going through
You are not on your own
I am now thinking of you
prostrate cancer is the most treatable form of cancer
You are Special and everyone will do their best to help You.
Please, try and rest easy tonight, use relaxation techniques
sleep with the tele on if it makes you feel better
or tune into music, I use Jason Stephenson deep sleep or Sarah Raymond deep healing sleep
have a hot bath
go for a walk
Breathe
Do not think the worst
learn how to Relax and Let go,

Mike I’m so sorry to read about the tragedy helping your wife, must have been heart breaking, if there’s a maggies centre near you, a call in would not go amiss. like Seamus said any information would be welcome, take care.
