Following my first Prostap3 injectoin about 6 weeks ago, my emotions are completely screwed up. Not suicidal but dont know where to turn. Have any others experienced similar effects and which if any antidepressants made a difference.
Hi Miffi, I fully understand where you are coming from, I did not take any tablets and oppted for counciling, I had seven weeks of treatment which sorted me out, Macmillan set it up for me.
I take 20mg of fluoxetine daily and it does help me. I suffer from a bit of anxiety and mild depression. I still take it despite being off PROSTAP now.
Yes the hormone injections or tablets can really play havoc with your emotions,I take gabapentin which also helps me sleep. This is on prescription only so ask the doctor.
Hi Miffi. I’m on sertraline since about 6 months after first decapeptyl. I have to say I’ve found yoga has helped, gentle exercise and meditation. I really look forward to doing yoga now

For me, Zoloft (Sertraline) has been a solid option. It took a little while for it to kick in, but once it did, it made a huge difference.
