Had posrate removed 2 years ago psa before surgery was 10 Gleason score of7 after surgery still Gleason 7 but had positive surgical margins psa after surgery was 0 005 but has now reached 0.11 has anybody had radiotherapy afer surgery and did it cure them
I had radiotherapy after surgery but circumstances were much higher grade with my PSA rising to 0.3 then quickly to 0,7 a year or so after surgery with negative margins.
I think the slow rise of your PSA to 0.11 after 2 years is very likely to be due to cells left in the prostate bed. This would mean salvage radiotherapy would have a very good chance of success. Have you spoken to an oncologist? Technically biochemical recurrence is when PSA reaches 0.2 or you have 3 increasing PSA results so acting early is also important to improve chance of success.
