Hi Paul and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is an informative and supportive place to be.
Any type of insurance can be trickier to find when you've had a cancer diagnosis. I haven't tried to obtain life insurance myself but I do understand what a minefield finding travel insurance can be.
Macmillan has this information about life insurance, including some tips on getting it, and also a link telling you what to do if you feel that you are being discriminated against because of your cancer diagnosis.
You could also post your question in the ask a financial guide section of the online community or speak directly to them by phoning 0808 808 0000. It's free to call and they're available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm.
